disciple: one who follows, listens to, observes, and then seeks to adopt the thinking and behaviors of another. [NOTE. Most people are a disciple of more than one person, knowingly or unknowingly, and too often make their choice of role models on poor criteria.]
discipleship: the intentional shaping of another person’s thinking and behavior. [NOTE. If we equate discipleship with influence, then we easily realize that the culture at large has elements that are constantly at work to intentionally shape the thinking and behaviors of its inhabitants.]
exemplar: a person whose thinking and behavior are worth absorbing and incorporating into one’s own being.
